Dr Mark Howarth MB ChB DFFP trained
at Bristol and qualified in 1975. As
well as working in hospitals in
England,he has worked in Nepal, Papua
New Guinea and Sudan. He is an
enthusiastic tennis player and
mountaineer. He has been on several
expeditions to the Himalaya and done
research into the medical effects of
high altitude.
He has a particular interest in
ophthal mology and diabetes. Every
Tuesday afternoon he spends working
in the eye Clinic at St Richards
Hospital.

Dr Hilary
Platts BSc (Hons) MB ChB DRCOG DFFP
graduated in 1982. Coming from
Yorkshire via Leicester University she
has lived in Selsey since 1990 and
loves being near the sea (as does her
dog). As well as her duties in the
practice she works at St Richards
Hospital in the breast clinic and as a
family planning doctor in Bognor Regis
where she trains other doctors. She is
an associate member of the British
Medical Acupuncture Society and can
offer acupuncture to our
patients.
Loving village life she can be seen
singing in St Peters choir and using
her culinary talents at church events.
She is married and gained two children
with her husband so she knows about the
trials, tribulations and joys of child
rearing!

Dr
Katherine Miller MB ChB MRCOG DRCOG DFFP.
Qualified in 1988 at Manchester
University. She has worked in a variety
of locations in England including
Blackpool and Penzance and also two years
in New Zealand. Having a preference for
coastal areas she settled in West Sussex
in 1994 working as a GP and also at St
Richards Hospital in the Department of
Sexual Health. She joined the practice in
1996 and became a partner in 1999 whilst
still retaining her hospital position.
She has a wide ranging experience in all
areas of medicine, especially women's and
children's health, including maternity
and family planning.
Dr Miller was married in 1998, her
husband being in the computer business.
Her many interests include travel,
reading, swimming and skiing. She is a
keen walker, south coast weather
permitting!

Dr Julian
Moore BSc (Hons) MBBS MRCGP DRCOG DFFP
trained at Guy's and St. Thomas'
medical school and qualified in 1998.
He became a partner in 2003 following a
wide variety of hospital posts in the
southern counties and in his native
Cambridgeshire, where he was latterly a
GP Registrar in Saint Ives. Despite
this, he claims local roots, as many
childhood holidays were spent in his
father's birthplace
(Donnington).
In the past he has restored and
operated steam locomotives, served in
the Territorial Army and worked with
the Chichester Conservation Volunteers.
He lives with his wife Fiona and children
Lucy and Robert who keep him busy as an odd-job
man, but he dreams of long-distance
walks and renewing an interest in
sailing.

Dr Jennifer Fleetcroft - MB BS, MRCGP, DFFP,
joined the practice on the 4th August 2004.
Dr Fleetcroft trained at St George's Hospital, London
and qualified in 1998.
After this she spent a few years working
as a locum and a salaried GP in Surrey.
